She was born February 26, 1947 in Charleston, the daughter of Garnett “Jack” and Ruby Ann Lively Walters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Scott Walters.
Sue was an active member of Teays Valley Church of God, serving many roles and was known throughout the church as “Mint Momma”. Her singing voice will be dearly missed within the church, along with her fellowship with all members - young and old. She was an active Avon Lady for over 20 years, receiving several honors for her work. She was also known for sending encouraging and loving cards, whether the occasion was monumental or inconsequential. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Paul David, son, Sean David Ragland and his wife Ellen Elizabeth Ragland, of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren, Addison Noelle Ragland, Durgan Alexander Ragland, brother, Douglas Walters, special nephews, Brandon Walters and Dr. Chad Walters, along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Celebration of Sue’s life will be 6:00 P.M. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Teays Valley Church of God with Pastor Melissa Pratt officiating.
The gathering of family and friends will be from 4 until time of service at the church.
