Thurman Wilkerson Williams

He was born May 21, 1949, in Eskdale, the son of Robert (Booker) and Mary Harrison Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother John Dewey Williams.

Thurman was a highly regarded foundational figure at the KCEAA. Having been a part of the agency since its inception in 1977. A dedicated EMT-Paramedic he spent decades serving both on the front lines and as a key face of the agency’s community footprint. He was a US Navy veteran. Thurman was an avid golfer and loved cruising with family and friends. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend that will be greatly missed by all who know him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha, children, Kristie Long (Eli), Chad Hudson (Sherri), Christopher Hudson (Pam), and Joshua Williams, brother Jack Williams (Julie), sister Georgia Norcisa, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 4 nephews, niece, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Thurman’s life will be 12:00 P.M. August 18, 2026, at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Pinson officiating. Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard State Veteran’s Cemetery, Institute.

Gathering of family and friends will be from 10 until time of service at the funeral home.
