
Wanda Lee (Hudson) Cunningham, 89, of Cross Lanes, WV, passed away March 1, 2015 at the Hubbard Hospice House West, surrounded by her family. She was born on Sept. 20, 1925 in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Richard I. and Sedena Smith Hudson. Wanda served as the Postmaster of the Tyler Heights Post Office for several years and was the co-owner of the Cunningham Hardware Store. She was a Christian, a lifelong Major League Baseball fan, expert quilter, seamstress and avid crossword puzzle solver. She is survived by three daughters, Karen Jones of Cross Lanes, Kay Sisson of Nitro, and Kathy (Butch) Crump of Canvas; one son, Leroy G. Cunningham of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren, Craig (Kelli) Cunningham of Charleston, Kevin Jones of Cross Lanes, Kristi Phillips of Covington, LA, Staci (Charles) King of Herndon, VA, Kari (Kenny) Costello of Morgantown, Derek Frame of Summersville, and Jacob Sisson of Nitro; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy S. Cunningham; two brothers, Richard and John Hudson; and one sister, Lillian Coffman. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Kanawha Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W., Charleston, WV 25387. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens (WV Mausoleum Chapel), 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
