

Carolyn “Corky” Ruth Jarc of Croton-on Hudson, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 8th, 2016 after a short illness. She was 73 years old.
Carolyn was born on November 30, 1942 at White Plains Hospital to Herschel and Margret Hinman, and older sister Judith, whom relocated to Croton on Hudson shortly after.
Carolyn graduated Croton Harmon High School in 1960 and attended the University of Denver where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Fine Arts. While attending the University of Denver, she met Frank S. Jarc Jr. of Waukegan, Illinois.
Carolyn married Frank on April 3, 1965 at Asbury United Methodist Church and chose to reside in Croton as a home maker.
Caroline is survived by her two children, a daughter, Tracy Jarc-Rosso (Daniel) and a son, David Jarc, along with 5 Grand Daughters Emma, Victoria, Megan, Katherine, and Corrine. She was predeceased by her husband Frank, parents and older sister.
Caroline enjoyed puzzles, home improvement projects, and her Grand Daughters. She was an avid traveler with visits to Europe, Russia, China, The Middle East, and her most favorite, Machu Picchu in Peru. Caroline often commented that she enjoyed visiting “old rocks”.
A gathering of friends will be held at Edward F Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand Street, Croton on Hudson from 5pm to 8pm, with a short memorial service at 8pm. Interment will be private.
