Edward was born on August 27, 1920 to the late John and Pauline (Culen) Fiala. He was a proud WWII Army Air Corps Veteran. He lived and worked most of his life in N. Tarrytown as a Postman.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Grace; loving children, Judy Fiala, Susan Glashoff, her husband John and Edward J. Fiala and his adoring grandchildren, TJ, Brianne, Robert, Matthew, Amy, Johnny, Erich and Caroline.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 4-7 pm at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, September 15th at St. Patrick’s Church in Verplanck, NY. Cremation Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edward’s name can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
