Fermina Iriate Aquino Ortiz, 77, passed away on August 1, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Juan Jose Ortiz, her three children, Edith V. Aquino, Edmund M. Ortiz, and Jeannette F. Kurie, her six Grandchildren, and two Great-Grand Children.
A sweet, strong, funny, loving mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She had more energy and exuberance than a roomful of people. Always with many stories to tell...and you loved listening to them. She helped to raise, educate and help so many of our family and friend's children.
Always in our thoughts, always in our hearts - you are missed greatly.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY. There will be a Memorial Service held at 6:00 pm also at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, 59 Young Avenue, Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Cremation Services will be Private.
