Mr. Duffy was born in Yonkers to Thomas J. and Johanna (McCormack) Duffy. He was preceded in death by his parents, his aunt Julia McCormack, and his brothers James A. Duffy and Edward T. Duffy.
Mr. Duffy was a graduate of Fordham Prep and College, and held a Masters degree from NYU. He enlisted and proudly served his country in World War II in the South Pacific, and achieved the rank of Lieutenant. Mr. Duffy was an avid NY Giants football fan, and held season tickets for over 50 years.
He is survived by 7 nieces and nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews. He had a great sense of humor, and we will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 10:00 am to 11:15 am at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation at 11:30am at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson. Cremation Services will be private.
