She is predeceased by son, Michael Corritore and husband Joseph Previte.
Gloria was born in the Bowery neighborhood of New York City. She moved to Bensonhurst, Brooklyn with her parents and siblings. She was 1 of 6 children; 3 boys, and 3 girls. When her children, Micky and Patty, were young they lived near the beach in Island Park and Long Beach, New York. Later, she and her beloved husband Joe moved to their dream house in Cedarhurst. After Joe returned from serving in WW II, they bought their vacation home in Hollywood Beach, Florida. Gloria spent many winters there enjoying the sunshine. She loved the beach, traveling, cooking, and family. Gloria and Joe traveled to Italy once a year for almost 50 years. Over the 49 years of their marriage they traveled the world. One of her favorite memories was being on one of the last flights out of Cuba when Castro took power. Gloria loved to entertain her friends and family with large parties and playing Canasta. She made countless crochet blankets for family and friends. Gloria was active in her church, St. Joachim of Cedarhurst. She loved participating in retreats at Graymoor in Garrison, and later joined the Parish of St. Augustine of Ossining, where she volunteered and made hundreds of meatballs for the annual fair. She was active at the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center and the Veteran's Home.
Gloria was kind, loving, sassy, and funny. She always brought people together with laughter and food up until the very end. Her family, friends and community will hold Gloria in their hearts.
Until we meet again.
