Joan Frances Hartney of Croton on Hudson, NY. Died March 20, 2013 at age 81. Born May 17, 1931 in New York City to James Francis and Mary Christine (Mullane) Kennedy. Joan was an active Volunteer at Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow and an active Member with the Croton Harmon Seniors Group. She is survived by her beloved sons Michael, Thomas and Paul Hartney, cherished grandchildren Raymond, Dan, Tim and Addison and loving siblings Jack and Patricia Kennedy. Predeceased by her loving husband Raymond and cherished son Raymond. Visitation Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home 41 Grand Street Croton on Hudson. Funeral Mass Monday 10 am at Holy Name of Mary Church followed by an Interment at Bethel Cemetery in Croton. Contributions may be made payable to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center and sent to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center Development Office 701 North Broadway Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591. All gifts will be applied to the Joan Hartney Memorial Fund.
