Dear Dad,
  It's been a month now since you slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the Face of God. It still hurts and I'm still lonely. As a dad now I understand more than I ever could before your appreciation for children and family, you always had your priorities right. It is through your Faith and Love of life that I that found mine and I will spend a lifetime trying to hold a candle to you.

Dear Aunt Mary and Connolly cousins,
Uncle Jackie was one of a kind...I so looked forward to his phone calls and conversations during our get togethers. He had a very special personality and sense of humor.  You would never know how sick he truly was because he never let on that he was...always concerned about everyone else.  He was so proud of all of you and his grandchildren...couldn't talk enough about you. I will miss him greatly but I know he is enjoying his reward he so truly deserves.  May God take care of all of you during this difficult time.

I never met my Uncle Jack, but ever since my childhood I have known that he was very special and dear to my mom, his sister, Patricia Mary Connolly (who just passed this year on May 30). I know my mom missed him terribly after she moved to California in 1964. I know they are together now, with the rest of their family and I send my love to him and all of them!

Words cannot express how lucky we feel to have been blessed with such a wonderful man for our father.  He was a devoted and loving Dad who put our happiness before all else.  Always kind and encouraging, he was a good man with a good heart.   His infectious optimism touched all who knew him. His love, patience, wisdom and incredible sense of humor will guide us and live on inside of us forever. 
He was adored and will be missed.  Goodbye Dad, we love you.

If it hadn't been for Uncle Jack, my parents would never have met (Pat and Andy). Although we kids grew up out in California, we always heard hilarious stories about him, all told with love and admiration. He was my father's best friend for a very long time, and although the move West separated them, we always felt close to him. Thanks Uncle Jack for getting my folks together...God bless you and all the Connollys.

I will miss Uncle Jackie's phone calls.  He would call and ask how I was doing, never worrying about himself.  We had wonderful talks about movies and our families.  I loved hearing about his life and times when he served in the military and drove taxi cab in NYC. How fortunate we were to have such a lovely man as our uncle.
