It is with deepest sadness we announce the passing of our father John A Cozzolino after a valiant fight. I could never have asked for a better father, mentor and friend. He guided 3 children to adulthood with grace and humility. He kicked our butts a few times. He even learned to play the xylophone to help his son with piano lessons. He was curious to a fault about life and what lies beyond.
He always instilled in us a love for family, honesty, integrity, LAUGHTER and curiosity. He was a lover of nature, art, music, spiritual awakening and so much more. He always had an encouraging word for me and succeeded in being the wonderful father he set out to be. His dedication to his children, our mother and also Betty knew no limits.
He was a self-taught engineer and mechanic who could build a car or a motor from scratch. His fine work can be seen at Indian Point, Cortlandt Town Center and many electrical installations from Florida to Arizona.
Fortunately we got to say our goodbyes, without words, as he beamed a BIG smile from his bed and a few hours later he went to a better place. Many thanks to Lisa and Lauren for their tireless efforts keeping him going and my lovely wife who helped me race down to Florida to see him one last time.
Love you Pop and we will see you again soon.
-John Cozolino, Jr.
