Agnes R. Boehmke

Agnes R. Boehmke, 89, of Crystal Lake died Saturday May 21, 2011 at the Springs of Crystal Lake. She was born January 15, 1922 in Crystal Lake to Albert R. and Emma W. Zilly. She attended school in Crystal Lake and graduated from Crystal Lake High School class of 1940. On April 27, 1947 she married Donald H. Boehmke. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family, was a foster mother to many area children, and was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake.

She is survived by four children; James (Della) Boehmke, Sheri (Alan) Clark, Patricia Caywood, Robert (Michelle) Boehmke, grandchildren; Michael & Erik Boehmke, Amy (Jerry) Zimmer, Jill & Todd Clark, Erin & Matthew Caywood, Nathan, Jared & Caleb Boehmke, great-grandchildren; Jacob & Joshua Clark, Samantha Zimmer, and sister Lorraine Wessler. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald in 1999, infant son Larry, infant daughter Cheryl, and brothers; Paul, Erv & Norman.

Friends may visit from 4-8 pm on Tuesday May 24th at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake. Visitation will continue from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am on Wed May 25th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 932 McHenry Ave Crystal Lake. The Rev Paul Schuth will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Rd. Barrington, IL. 60010 or Prince of Peace Music Fund at the above address.
