He was born August 18, 1981 in Barrington, the son of Jeffrey Misurelli and Linde (Peschke) Misurelli. Alex was fueled by his love for music and was an avid musician. Since a young age, Alex lent his talents by playing guitar, bass, drums and providing backup vocals in various bands over the years. He most recently played bass in the band Super Crush, where he was known to showcase some of his vocal talents as well. There were several moments in Alex’s short life where you knew he was exactly where he was supposed to be, and one of those places was on the stage. Those who saw Alex wanted to get to know him, and those who knew him wanted to be like him.
Alex was unique in his own special way and being anything but the boss just didn’t suit his larger-than-life personality. With this in mind, Alex was an entrepreneur and owned his own business, Turning Solutions Inc., in McHenry. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast who was working on a car restoration project with his dad before his untimely passing. Alex knew only how to live life to the fullest and settled for nothing less. The only thing bigger than Alex were his dreams, and each one of them he worked tirelessly towards making a reality. He knew only how to work hard and play hard. Alex touched everyone he knew in a profound way, which is why he is so sorrowfully missed.
Alex was a man of few words but many actions. With just a slight pursing of the lips and a nod, you knew you obtained his approval, which meant more from this man than most. His laughter and humor were infectious and nothing short of genius. Alex lived for the day and seized every moment with a closed fist. Alex loved gaming with an Xbox gamertag of Stack by Stack, which sums up this bright and brilliant soul. Alex believed in getting out and making memories each day, since today was the day that mattered most. He was as unique as he was genuine and he will be sorely missed as we wish him eternal rest.
Alex is survived by his dad, Jeff; his mom, Linde; his sister, Dana (Brian) Marino; his niece, Luciana; his longtime girlfriend, Sonia Cruz; his uncle, Joe (Edie) Misurelli; and his cousins, Joe Jr. and Jason Misurelli.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Friday, October 21 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. There will be a time to share memories at 7pm.
