Our loving mother, Bertha Eva Lee (Ciszek), of Algonquin, went home to heaven to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 6th at the age of 86. She was born on a farm in Goodman, WI, to Joseph and Anna Ciszek, along with seven siblings. She moved to the Chicago area in 1946; where she later met and married her husband, Bob and they raised their family in Palatine.
As a devoted wife and mother, she was a fantastic homemaker and especially loved hospitality, baking, gardening, and sewing. With a servant’s heart, she was known to all as caring and compassionate, always helping those in need.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Karen (Dave) Carlson, Kevin (Pam) Lee, Kristen (Larry) Lindgren, Keith (Mary) Lee. A devoted grandmother, she will forever be in the hearts of her grandchildren, Eric, Justin (Andrea), Jennifer (John), Tanner (Sarah), Brandon, Lauren, Grant, Karisa, Jonathon, Ryan; and her great grandchildren, Madison and Teagan. Her family and friends were always most important in her life and remained the center of her heart throughout her life. She leaves a legacy of loving kindness to her family and all those who knew her. Her joyful spirit and brilliant smile will be greatly missed by all.
Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lee in 2002.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Bertha on Monday, January 11, 2016, 12 noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association would be deeply appreciated by the family. Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
