Betty J. Halter

She was born July 1, 1931, in Woodstock to Henry and Alma (Rossman) Rudat. On April 13, 1968 she married Donald J. Halter in Crystal Lake.

She was a life-long resident of Crystal Lake and graduated from Crystal Lake Community High School. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, and watching and feeding the birds around her home.

She is survived by her cousin, Donald Rudat; her longtime friend, Norenne Dunker; and many cousins, friends, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and her parents.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11am on Saturday, January 21, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be at 11am.

Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran School, 300 S. Pathway Court, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
