Charles David Porter

He was born March 22nd, 1935 in Huntley, Illinois.

Chuck was an avid golfer, a wonderful companion, father, grandfather and friend.

Survivors include his special Lady friend Saundra Welter, a son Charles & Melissa Porter, Daughters Sandra & Joe Zawistowski, Colette & Todd Vanderkin. 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, his step children, Karen & Tom Meyer, Karla & Tom Gilles, Kim & Todd Seidl and Richard Schwall, a brother Ray Porter and a sister Anna Long.

Chuck was a veteran of the US Army. His willingness to help others will always be remembered & He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 2 to 6pm with a service at 5pm on Sunday, April 10 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. There will be continued visitation from 10:30am to 11am on Monday, April 11 at the funeral home followed by a procession to Windridge Memorial Park in Cary for military honors and burial.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
