Chita Reyes

Born in Guatemala, City on September 16th, 1924

went to be with the Lord on March 26th, 2011

She was the oldest of five children, Luis, Carlotta, Estella and Cristobal. She married Alfonzo Ramirez and they had 3 children, my older brother Ronald, myself Miriam and my youngest brother Gustavo. She divorced my dad in 1962 and started her own small store with the help of her dad and mom Cristobal Reyes and Carlotta Martinez, where she sold sorted items such as gum, cigarettes, pop etc. but she wanted more for her and her family. So, she decided to come to Illinois in 1965 were we have resided ever since. She became a grandmother to Brian Sterling and Ashley Elizabeth Tallungan and great grandmother to Preston James Tallungan.

She is survived by her daughter Miriam Tallungan, son Gustavo Ramirez, brother Cristobal Reyes, sister Carlotta Melgar, brother Luis Reyes, grandson Brian Sterling Tallungan, granddaughter Ashley Elizabeth Tallungan and great grandson Preston James Tallungan, nephews Rene Ordoñez, Jorge Reyes, Herbert Ordoñez, Roberto Reyes, Carlos Melgar, nieces Rocksanda Martinez, Mirna Ordoñez, Veronica Young and Liz Reyes.
