Christopher K. "Chris" Pagels, 74, of Cary, IL, passed away peacefully, Wednesday morning, April 29, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 30, 1951 in Chicago, IL, the son of Edward and Arlene (Krueger) Pagels. Chris graduated from Cary Grove High School, class of 1970. He was an accomplished ironworker for Union Pacific Railroad for many years. Chris loved riding his Harley motorcycles over the years. He adored his family and friends and loved spending as much time with them as he could.
Chris is survived by his children, Jason Milligan, Jammie (Troy) Richert and Aaron Milligan; grandchildren, Katie Richert, Ava Milligan, Jacob Richert, Amelia Milligan and Emily Richert; siblings, Matt (Terry) Pagels and Lisa Pagels; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jenny Pagels.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2026 at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 S Rawson Bridge Rd, Cary, IL 60013.
