David Michael Ostrowski

David Michael Ostrowski, age 74, of Crystal Lake, Illinois passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. David was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 2, 1948 to Raymond and Victoria Ostrowski. In 1966 David graduated from Catholic Central High School in Detroit, Michigan. He went on to receive his Master's Degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. On March 19, 1983 David married the love of his life Cheryl Mustacchio-Horejs. After 8 years as the Director of Service Operations he retired from The American Medical Association in 2014. David was an avid golfer, he really enjoyed getting on the course with any family members that were willing to play with him. Reading and crossword puzzles were a few other hobbies he enjoyed.

David is survived by his wife, Cheryl Ostrowski; children, Christine (Scott) Davis, Ric (Jamie Ramsay) Horejs, Melissa (Michael) Cairns, Amy (Bryan) Shackelford, Ryan (Ryan Baker) Horejs, Karen (Greg Larkins) Ostrowski, and David R. Ostrowski; grandchildren, Will, Mary, Katie, Eric, Brady, Topher, Hannah, Delaney, Charlie, and Curran; three great grandchildren; siblings, Patricia (the late Al) Bowhall, Judith (the late Dan) Atkinson, and Barbara (Paul) Struthers; many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Victoria Ostrowski; siblings, Dennis, Gary, Beverly, and Donald Ostrowski.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home (500 W. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014). Continued visitation will be held on March 15, 2023 from 10am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Crystal Lake, IL. Interment to follow at Windridge Cemetery in Cary, IL. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
