Deborah L. Fry

We celebrate the beautiful life of Deborah Lynn (Hemann) Fry who passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026 in McHenry County, Illinois where she lived with her sister and brother-in-law, Lori and John McConville. Debbie brought joy and laughter into the lives of all who knew her. She was a genuine friend to many, and had a great sense of humor that shined until the end. She was a compassionate woman who gave her heart fully to all living creatures. Debbie was born on November 15,1954, in Southern New Jersey where she grew up. She later lived in Eastern Pennsylvania. She owned a home in Warrington with her husband, Stephen, and later was a caregiver to her mother in Sugar Run for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Frances Hemann, her brother, Frederick Hemann, and her sister, Jacqueline (Hemann) Baruch.

She is survived by her sister, Lori Jean (Hemann) McConville, her five nieces and eight nephews. The family would like to thank the many nurses, doctors and caregivers for the care and compassion they showed Debbie in her final days. These people are truly angels and helped bring dignity and respect to the end of a special life and to those who loved Debbie.

A private memorial will be held at Querhammer and Flagg in Crystal Lake, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Debbie’s honor to a food pantry or animal shelter of your choice. She would be grateful for such a gift.
