It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Dino Gerald Colamatteo JR. Dino’s spirit left us many years too soon on February 23rd, 2025, in Ft Lauderdale, FL. He was 36 years young. Dino was a strong member of his Crystal Lake community where he enjoyed motorcycle riding, boating, joyriding in his Mustang Cobra and genuinely connecting with people. Dino found pleasure in all aspects of life, even his longtime occupation as a Union Laborer. Dino never took anything for granted and lived the life he LOVED with the people he loved. If Dino was not in his hometown, you could find him and his family on vacation. Traveling was one of his most cherished hobbies. Dino was a loving husband, father, son, brother and fierce friend. His legacy will live on in his wife Melanie (nee. Hanson) Colamatteo, daughter Abrianna Lynn (6) son Dino Gerald III (5), Father Dino SR, Mother Sue Ellen (nee. Brose) and sister Annalise (nee. Colamatteo) Kalamatas along with his extended family that he loved dearly.
