She was born September 15, 1928 in Chicago to Joseph and Bessie (Blazek) Kasik. She married Arthur Groh on August 13, 1949, in Chicago.
Chick was a well-respected realtor in McHenry County for many years. She was a founding member of a social club for women known as the Gooney Gals.
In her free time she could be found at her lake home with her family, dancing the night away to the sound of Big Band music with her husband Art or just relaxing with friends on her pontoon boat, "Chick's Mink".
Chick was a giving person who taught those who loved her to give love unconditionally to all they came in contact with. Always putting everyone else above herself.
Her Sixty-Five year marriage to Art was a testament to all of the limitless possibilities of true love.
Chick is survived by her husband, Arthur; her sons, Douglas Groh, Gary Groh, and Mark (Genelle) Groh; and her grandchildren, Nathan Groh, Megan Groh, Adam Brunner, Alyssa Groh, her brother, Rudolph Sirotek; and her dear friend, Annette Weber.
