He was born October 21, 1951 in Ottawa. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Gary bowled in many leagues over the years. He also recently started golfing at the local golf courses.
Gary is survived by his children, Stephanie Barton, Aaron Barton, and Stacey Barton; one grandchild; his former spouse, Diane Barton; and his good friend, Steve Eckert.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Johnson.
Inurnment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
