Gerald R Harker

Gerald R. “Jerry” Harker, 72, of Johnsburg died Wednesday February 16, 2011 at Centegra Hospital – McHenry. He was born December 12, 1938 in Chicago to George and Dorothy (Petrie) Harker. He was President of Centex Homes Illinois Division for many years until his retirement. He was active in the Village of Johnsburg, a member of the Johnsburg Community Club and the Johnsburg Lions Club. He was an avid boater, model railroad enthusiast, loved his “boys”, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Maureen, children; Patty (Geoff) Brown, Susan (Peter) Spitz, Jerry (Maureen) Harker, Kim (Don) Behrens, Jennifer (Chris) Schuer, grandchildren; Samantha, Caroline, and Kameron Brown, Jacob, Alexandra, and Gabrielle Spitz, Owen and Enrique Harker, Nicholas, Allison, and Shea Behrens, Hannah, Ben, and Sophie Schuer, brother George (Ruth) Harker, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife Jeanne Harker.

All family and friends are invited to celebrate Jerrys life from 4-8 pm on Sunday February 20th at the Grand Old Mill 7514 Barnard Mill Rd, Wonder Lake, IL 60097.
