Helen M. Grant

She was born September 4, 1931 in Crystal Lake to Edward and Ella Jeschke. On June 30, 1950 she married Edward Grant in Crystal Lake.

Helen was a longtime member of First Congregational Church in Crystal Lake where she loved singing in the choir. She enjoyed caring for children and the companionship of her dog, Zack.

She is survived by her children, James (Jane) Grant, Gary (Ann) Grant, and Barbara (Darrell) Thompson; her grandchildren, Jim, Tom, Bradley (Korie), Zachary, Abbey, Riley, Lauren, Mark, Elisa, Austin (Nicki), Sully, and Delaney; her great-grandchildren, Connor, Caleb, and Maddie; and her sisters, Nancy (John) Rose and Carla (Ron) Rose.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; and her siblings, Norm Jeschke and Donna Hentz.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8pm on Wednesday, April 22 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The service will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday, April 23 at the First Congregational Church, 461 Pierson St., Crystal Lake.

Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock.
