James "Jim" B. Clarkson

He was born September 9, 1943, in Lebanon, Kentucky to Thomas Dominic and Annie Mae (Lanham) Clarkson. On April 10, 1972, he married Lynda A. Majikes in Columbus, Ohio.

He retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service.

He loved working on computers and was an American History buff. He enjoyed his Kentucky heritage and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda; his children, Jeana (Andy) Altman, Jeffrey Clarkson, Amber Clarkson, and Lynn (Bryan) Snider; his grandchildren, Luke, Samantha, Jessica, Stacey, and Bradley; five great-grandchildren; and his incredibly loving extended family of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Marilyn and Sally.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Tuesday, May 17, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am on Wednesday, May 18, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

Interment will be private.
