Jens J. Feddersen, 82, of Crystal Lake passed away February 22, 2018. He was born October 18, 1935 in Germany to Siegfred and Ingeburg (Green) Feddersen. On April 26, 1958 he married Thea Brodersen. Jens was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake for 44 years. He was also a member of the Fox River Grove and Cary Seniors Groups. One of his favorite things to do was call Bingo for various groups. Jens also loved to travel, having immigrated to the United States in 1956. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Thea; his children, Frank (Julie) Feddersen and Karen (Don) Barkley; his grandchildren, Savanna (Tyler) Plesetz, Joseph Barkley, Colin (Alena) Barkley, and Emma (fiancé George Bernhardt) Barkley; and a brother and sister in Germany. There will be a memorial service at 11am on Saturday, March 3 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 76 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake. Memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church. Dear Thea and family, So sorry to hear of your loss. Jens was a very nice man. It had been years since I had seen him but I remember him well. I'm sure God has a very special spot for him. As long as you carry him in your heart he will always be with you.
