Jeremy M. Nelson

Jeremy M. Nelson, 26, of Woodstock, formerly of Carbondale and Godfrey, died peacefully at home on Friday November 18, 2011. He was born November 22, 1984 in Berwyn, IL. To John and Catherine (McCaffery) Nelson. He attended school at SEDOM Center, graduating class of 2005 and most recently participated in the Pioneer Center DT Program. He enjoyed camping and traveling with his family. He was always happy and lit up the room with his smile.

He is survived by his parents John and Cathy Nelson; his sister Kacie Nelson; brother Christopher Nelson; grandmother Lucille Nelson; aunts Margarte (Bill) Swiedals, Leeanne McCaffery, Margie Pechota; uncles Tom (Diane) Nelson, Jim (Sue) Nelson, Mark (Donna) Nelson; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Frank and Emily McCaffery; and his paternal grandfather Monte Nelson.

Visitation will be from 3-9 pm with a wake service at 7 pm on Tues Nov 22, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake. Visitation will continue from 9 am until the 11 am funeral mass on Wed Nov 23, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave Woodstock. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Pioneer Center for Human Services, Developmental Training Dept. 4001 Dayton Street McHenry, IL 60050.
