Judith Ann Houck

Judy was born on November 10, 1941 in Elgin to Charles Scheid and Lucille (Rose) Freund. She worked as a receptionist at Baird & Warner Real Estate, City of Crystal Lake as a crossing guard, a manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Woodstock and Wendy's in Crystal Lake, and the front counter help for Crystal Bowl bowling alley. Judy loved talking about her grandchildren, selling Avon, and taking care of her roses.

Judy is survived by her children, John (Shannon) Houck Jr., Phyllis Houck, Ann (David) Burke, and Bill (Stacey) Houck; and their father, John Houck Sr.; her grandchildren, William and Alexandra Houck, Benjamin and Sydney Sleper, and Autumn Houck; and her siblings, Linda (Joe) Hewins, Frank (Gail) Scheid, Jess Scheid, Doug (Connie) Scheid, and Dan (Beth) Scheid; her nephew, Scott (Shilla) Hewins; and her cousin, Richard (Diane) Stading.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and step-mother, Tootie Scheid; and her sister, Phyllis Freund.

The family will receive friends from 9:00am to 1:00pm on Monday, November 6 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. There will be a service at 1:00pm. Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park for those that would like to attend.
