Margaret Auxier

of Gowen, Michigan, formerly of Crystal Lake, died peacefully at home on November 15, 2024. She was born September 7, 1957 in Elgin to Joanne (Senicka) and Thomas Maloney Sr. She attended Crystal Lake Community High School. She married the love of her life, Joseph Auxier, on April 19, 1975 in Crystal Lake. Shortly after, they had three children. She was fortunate to be able to stay home with them. As they got older, she cooked at McHenry County College, Fair Oaks Nursing Home, & Heritage Woods of McHenry. She got to enjoy her time up in Michigan fishing, swimming and boating on the pontoon (especially when family came to visit).

Margaret is survived by her beloved husband Joseph Auxier; her children Julie (Ed) Gibbons, Matthew (Karen) Auxier, & Brian Auxier; her grandchildren Mason & Kylie Gibbons, Lilly Anna & Joey Auxier, and Brayden & Shayla Auxier; her great-granddaughter Novah Mae; her siblings Laurie Mueller, Cecilia Guzman, & David Maloney; her mother-in-law Anna Auxier; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers James Maloney & Thomas Maloney Jr.; her sister Christie Moline; her twin sister Mary Russell; and her father-in-law Sam Auxier.

Margaret will be deeply missed and always in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 8th, with a Gathering from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, followed by a Service at 12:00 PM at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL.
