Marian E. Burger

She was born on May 7, 1919 in Crystal Lake to Edwin D. & Bessie (Barker) Morgan. On January 6, 1940 she married Lloyd P. Burger and the couple celebrated 72 years together.

Marian graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School in 1937 and lived in Crystal Lake and McHenry area her entire life until three years ago when she moved to Marinette, WI. Marian was a past member of the First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake.

She was a dedicated wife and mother and in her later years enjoyed puzzles, walks and visits with her children and grandchildren.

Marian is survived by her husband, Lloyd; her children, Philip (Virginia) Burger of Hilton Head, SC., Janis (Donald) Neumann of Minot, ND, and Barbara (Jeffrey) Orear of Peshtigo; and her grandchildren, Craig (Helen) Burger, Jennifer Burger, Donald (Brenna) Neumann, Brian (Sarah) Neumann, Melanie (Michael) Corrigan, Kelly Orear, Megan Orear and Michael Orear; 5 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lloyd Steven Burger; daughter, Mary Susan Burger; and 8 brothers and 2 sisters.

A memorial visitation will be from 1 to 3pm on Saturday, June 30, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to a fund established in Marian’s memory.
