

Crystal Lake—Marie Irvin, 88, of Crystal Lake passed away Monday, December 12, 2011, at Tower Hill Nursing Home in South Elgin.
She was born August 10, 1923, in Howard, Pennsylvania to Percy and Jane (Huntington) Walker. On July 10, 1957 she married Bernard Irvin in Pennsylvania.
During World War II she worked on Piper Aircraft as a welder. She had been a resident of Crystal Lake since 1963, prior to which she lived in the Lock Haven area in Pennsylvania. She also enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her children, Barney Irvin, Terry (Kay) Walker, and Paul (Sue) Irvin; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Betty Falls, Blanche Heaton, Clarence (Beatrice) Walker, and Lois (Earl) Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; her daughter, Patty Litz; her parents; and her siblings, Willard, Chester, Lawrence, Mable, Mary, Myrtle, Lauren, and Alma.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Thursday, December 15, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
The funeral service will be at 11am on Friday, December 16, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
