

She was born November 27, 1921 in Barrington to August and Arlene Mavis. She worked at Orsolini's as waitress for 23 years and was a cook at the Cubby hole in Richmond. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, crocheting, loved playing pinochle, and was an incredible pool shark. She loved making new friends and leaves behind many dear friends at Lilac Apartments. She was a remarkable woman who ran circles around others, and there was nothing she couldn’t do.
She is survived by her five children, Ronald J. (Helen) Erb, Joyce Richter, Janice (Bill) Mathison, Mark (Penny) Erb, Jean (Jimmy) Formby; her grandchildren, Robin, James, Steve, Charlotte, Lenore, Angie, Sarah, Charles, Caleb, Natalie, Chad, Kenny, Kerri, Seth, Adam; her fourteen great-grandchildren; her brother, Earl (Dorothy) Mavis; her sisters-in-law; Janet Maretti and Mary Erb; and her husband's cousin, Sis Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Erb, her sons Roger Erb and Howie Erb, her parents, her father and mother-in-law Charles and Addie Erb, sisters; Betty, Pearl, Helen and Patsy, a brother Glen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made St. Jude Children's Hospital in leu of flowers, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN.
