Martha Lawless

Martha “Marty” Lawless, 85, of Crystal Lake passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at Valley Hi in Woodstock. She was born in Chicago to Carl and Theresa Linnemann. She married Frank Lawless on May 28, 1949 in Chicago.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Marty enjoyed craftwork, needlework, TV westerns especially John Wayne and spending summers at the lake. She was loved by everyone and a wonderful wife, mother, cook and hostess.

She is survived by her children: Kathleen (Paul) Hayden, Steven (Gail) Lawless; grandchildren: Michelle (Tom) Golbeck, Scott (Jackie) Hayden, Megan Lawless, Ashley Lawless; great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Golbeck, Emily Golbeck, Benjamin Hayden and Lucas Hayden.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, her sister Thelma Hoss.

Visitation will be from 3-9 pm on Wed, March 5 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake. Visitation will continue from 9-9:30 am on Thurs at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Thurs, March 6 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 McHenry Ave. Crystal Lake. Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, IL.
