He was born on January 9, 1947 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Connie Salvaggio. On December 16, 1994, he married Sue Sparks in Woodstock, IL. Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, photography, and was active in the NRA.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Salvaggio; his children, Michael Joe, Elizabeth, and Joe Salvaggio; his step-children, Robin Maddern, Robert Lee, Roxann (Vincent) Daniello, and Tracy (Steve) Kleszczynski; his 5 grandchildren; and his dog, Lady.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his dear friend John Salzmann.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, June 18 from 9 to 11am, with a memorial service to follow at 11am at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
