Pam was born on July 20th, 1950, and grew up in Chicago, Illinois. In June of 1979, she married her husband, Steve Pate. They shared 46 years of marriage, during which they created a home and a wonderful family. Pam was a strong matriarch, dedicating her life to her two daughters. As a mom, she was always the one to show up to the classrooms, plan the parties, step up as the team nurse, or take in friends in need. Her goal in life was to provide a loving and supportive home. She was the one you would call if you were in trouble. Unless, of course, she was causing the trouble with you.
As a grandmother, she lived for her 3 grandkids. Getting on the floor to play, even when it was hard. Always having a treat or a gift. Always saying "yes". She believed in "Gramma's rules", and she lived by them. Her grandkids were going to be spoiled, loved, and happy. They will remember her great hugs and hilarious jokes.
Pamela Pate passed away on July 5th, 2025 of natural causes. Preceded in death by mother, Anita Thomson, and father, Bud Thomson. Survived by husband, Steven Pate, daughters Andrea Huppert and Courtney Hunold, and grandchildren Ophelia Huppert, Everett Hunold, and Elizabeth Hunold.
We love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.
