It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Lawrence Marski, who left us on December 25, 2024, at the age of 48. Born on January 21, 1976, Paul grew up in Schaumburg, Illinois, and was a resident of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, at the time of his passing.
Paul was a man of many passions, but his greatest joys were rooted in family, sports, and community. During his earlier years, Paul dedicated his time to coaching SAA football in Schaumburg, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the game with young athletes. When Paul was not coaching, he could be found in the stands with his mom, sister and nieces, proudly cheering on his nephew Dante and celebrating his achievements from the time he was little through his college football career. When Paul’s son Brady grew old enough to start playing sports, Paul was there every step of the way, cheering him on and sharing how proud he was of him with family and friends. Whether on the sidelines coaching or in the stands supporting, Paul’s love for the game and his family shone brightly.
A dedicated sports fan, Paul had an unwavering loyalty to his beloved Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, but most of all, the Michigan Wolverines. Baseball season brought out his love for the Chicago Cubs and was fortunate to witness the Cubs, the New England Patriots and the Michigan Wolverines win championships during his lifetime.
Beyond football and baseball, Paul was an avid bowler who achieved the incredible feat of bowling a perfect 300 on a few occasions. His love for the bowling alley extended beyond the lanes, as he often stayed to share his favorite music with friends and fellow bowlers.
Paul’s vibrant personality and unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed. He is survived by his mother, Jean Marski; his sister, Michelle Marski; his children, Brady Marski, Paul Hescott, and Grace Hescott; his nephew, Dante Marski; and his nieces, Breanna Marski and Ciara Ruffin. Preceding him in death was his father, Lawrence Paul Marski, with whom he is now reunited.
Paul’s legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to those he cared about will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of life for Paul will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, Illinois 60014. An interment and military honors will occur Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421.
