Peter W. Cahill, 90, of South Elgin, Illinois passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Peter was born March 30, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois. He married the late Patricia Pappel in June 7, 1969.
Peter was a member of The Loyal Order of the Moose, proud veteran of The United States Army, and a career Mail Carrier for the USPS. You could always find him sitting in his chair doing his word searches and rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
Peter is survived by his daughters Connie Bailey and Charlene (David) Petritis; grandchildren Kevin Cahill, Michael Cahill, Lamont Bailey, Jon Jon Bailey, Michael Bailey, Amanda Jenkins, and Lindsey Petritis; and 7 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his late wife Patricia; former wife Sunday; son Brian Cahill and daughter Maria Jenkins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday May 12, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm at Querhammer and Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, Illinois 60014. Funeral prayers will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moose Charities Inc. at 155 S International Dr., Mooseheart, Illinois 60539 or at https://www.moosecharities.org.
