When Nee Nee died it left a huge void in Grandpas life, But we kept him going. We moved him to a place where he would have constant companionship. Everyone had a night but some had every night. We went walking with him. We got him on the lawnmower and kept him useful. Time passed and we made the biggest decision of all to not let him drive anymore, that was tough but he accepted it. We have great neighbors as in his drive for independence he would go for walks only to fall and instead of neighbors panicking and calling an ambulance they picked him up and brought him home and called us. We bought him a walker which he wouldn't use. Then we bought him a walker on wheels with a seat that he would use. We arranged for 24//7 care we arranged for hospice, a godsend. We held his hand, we hugged and kissed him, we told him we loved him. He came, he conquered and he won We knew the day would come and with grace, honor and dignity he gave us his last simile.

Remembering Bob I am not sure what I will miss more, his infectious smile or the little dance he seemed to do when he walked. When you saw Bob, you could not help but smile. He had a very endearing quality about him, and it was a blessing for me to have met and worked with him at Metalmaster. I am so glad he is with his Ruthie now, and forever he will be missed. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to his family at this time, and may God Bless.
