OBITUARY

Robert James Freund

December 9, 1957August 16, 2020

Robert J. Freund, 62, passed away peacefully on August 16th 2020. Rob was the type of man that would give you the shirt off his back and anyone who knew him would agree. He enjoyed and excelled at taking photos, loved working in his garden, and valued quality time spent with his friends and family.

Rob was a father, a son, and the best friend you could count on anytime, anywhere. Rob is survived by his son and father. He will be forever missed, but as we all continue to live on and look back on the many memories we had with Rob, he would want you to know he is with every one of you and always will be. May he Rest In Peace in his big garden in the sky.

Rob was a great friend and athlete
You could always count on him to have your back wherever and whatever we did
As a pledge brother he and Pat were inseperable
I visited them in Crystal Lake one summer on the way back to school
It was a special place
Rob and Pat made sure we were included as family
Miss those days
God Bless Rob see you on the second floor of the Frat House in the sky

Rob is with Jesus now. I know this because he was one of the most gentle and kind human beings on the planet. Gifted photographer, loving father, and a gracious friend. Rob truly cared for others. Rest In Peace -until we meet again.

Rob, darn it! I'll miss you! You never changed...always the guy with a smile and great conversation. We knew each other since we were little kids. Really sad to hear you've moved on to a better place. Rest in peace my friend....I'll miss you.

Rob,

You'll always be the cute and snarky guy in my HS science classes. I loved those classes, and you made them even more fun.

I always enjoyed seeing you at the local tavern and at reunions when I came back into CL for a visit. I will miss your easy smile and laughter.

Rest in peace my friend.

So many good memories from high school. Then, oddly enough, he moved into a house close to my Mom's which I now live in. Was nice to have him for a neighbor and wish I could have talked with him more often. Just gone too soon. Rest in peace, Rob.
