

He was born July 15, 1931, in Chicago to Earl and Clara (Bogdonovich) Will. In 1953, he married Nancy Cogan in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
He attended Northwestern University and graduated from Minnesota State University, he then attended the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking.
Bob played for the Chicago Cubs as an outfielder from 1957-1963, but was part of the organization for 11 years. He was also a member of the Major League Baseball Alumni Association. After his time with the Cubs he became a banker and worked in the field for 29 years. He loved all sports and followed all of the Chicago teams. He was an avid golfer and devoted much time to charity work throughout the Chicagoland area.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Robert S. (Laura) Will, Julie (Richard) Caldwell, Lisa (Steven) Garhan, Paula Lohse, Thomas P. Will, and Jennifer (Mike) Safraniec; his grandchildren, Jenna and Lauren Will, Erin and Patrick Garhan, Sarah, Ashley, and Brad Lohse, Carter Will, and Noah and Madisen Safraniec; a great-granddaughter, Ainsley Garhan; and his siblings, James (Jean) Will and Suzanne Wokas.
A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Thursday, August 18, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Interment will be private.
