Rosaline was born on April 22, 1942, in Wendelin, Illinois. She was the sixth child and the youngest girl among ten siblings. Known affectionately as "Bits", she is remembered for her selflessness and empathy for others throughout her life. In 1964, she graduated from The College of Saint Francis with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Education. A firm believer in serving others, she dedicated time to volunteering while also working as an elementary school teacher. Bits met the love of her life, David, on Pensacola Beach while he was undergoing pilot training for the U.S. Navy. They were married just three months after meeting! Together, Bits and Dave led an adventurous life that took them to Hong Kong, Oklahoma, California, and Alaska. Eventually, they settled in Illinois, where they raised two children, Kate and John. Bits cherished her husband, her children, and their dogs. Many of her final summers were spent hiking in the mountains of Montana, where she experienced true joy. Bits is survived by her husband, David; her children, Kate and John; two grandchildren, Thomas and Elsa; and numerous surviving relatives from the Rudolphi and Iffert families. A celebration of life will be held in Kalispell, Montana, on Friday, August 22, 2025.
