Scott Witt

He was born June 8, 1975, in Elgin to Ronald and Paula (Klassen) Witt. On November 1, 2003, he married Brandi Pothast.

Scott was a resident of Crystal Lake his whole life. He graduated from Crystal Lake Central in 1993. He was known as “Hardware Hank” for the many years he worked for his family’s business, Northwest Builders in Crystal Lake and Mundelein. He was an accomplished fisherman and drummer for Jenkins Band.

He was the best Dad and husband ever.

He was also known for his jokes. How does a frog save money? He uses rebates.

He is survived by his wife, Brandi; his daughter, Katherine; and a circle of amazing friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Tamara; his brother, Peter; and his grandparents, Wilbert and Bernice Witt, and James and Alyce Hunt.

There will be a gathering of friends and family to celebrate Scott’s life from 4 to 7pm on Saturday, March 19, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. You are asked to come ready to share your favorite story of Scott.
