26, 2018. Warren was the son of Ray Henry and Goldena (Froedge) Davis, born May 25, 1954 in
Crawfordsville, Indiana. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1972 and attended
both Purdue and Taylor Universities. Warren was also part of the Spokesman Bicycle Group,
one time riding his bike from Denver, Colorado back to Indiana. Throughout his life, Warren had
a tireless work ethic beginning at the age of eight when he worked his first paper route for the
Journal Review. He was also the proud owner of his former Coast to Coast Hardware Store in
Baraboo, WI, later moving to Denver, CO to work at the corporate office. He returned to
Crawfordsville in 1989 and started working at RR Donnelley (now LLC) until his time of death.
Known for a personality full of laughter and his genuine interest in the lives of his family and
friends, Warren was regarded as a personable and loving confidant to all of those in his life.
Warren married the love of his life, Julie (Finch) Davis on June 17, 1978 in Grantsburg, WI.
Warren and Julie would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this June. He
supported her dream of running the Davis Photography Studio for nine years. They have had
the time of their lives in the last two years traveling in their Airstream camper and finding new
adventures, the greatest of which has been visiting their children’s homes and investing in the
lives of their grandchildren.
Warren is survived by his three children Joshua (Hannah) Davis in Crystal Lake, IL, Joel (Cyndi)
Davis in Crawfordsville, IN, and Jenny (Win) Fox in Columbus, OH; grandson, Jayden and
granddaughter Norah Davis; sisters, Barbara (Stephen) Johnson and Dorothy (Mark Allen) Davis;
brother-in-law, Jeff (Tracey) Finch, Joel (Kris) Finch, Kelly (Rick Leffelman) Finch and his
mother-in-law, Bev Finch; and he is survived by nine nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Mark Finch, father-in-law Darrell Finch; parents,
Henry and Goldena Davis; maternal grandparents, John and Ann Froedge; and paternal
grandparents, Raymond and Marie Davis.
The family invites you to Celebrate Warren’s life with them between 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 10, 2018 at their home 410 East Wabash, Crawfordsville, Indiana. There is
parking at the Wilson Elementary School.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Family of Warren Davis to be designated at a
later time.
