He was born July 29, 1960 in Chicago Heights to Florence (Krol) and William D. Straczek.
Bill graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School and the University of Illinois at Chicago with honors. He received a Bachelor's degree in accounting. Bill worked in the accounting department of the City of Woodstock, where he retired from in April 2023 after 28 years of service.
Bill enjoyed sports, was an avid movie buff, collecting sports and movie memorabilia, and traveling.
Bill is survived by his mother, Florence and his brother, Mark Straczek.
He was preceded in death by his father, William D. Straczek.
There will be a visitation from 4 to 8pm on Wednesday, December 20 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake. There will be a continued visitation from Noon to 1pm on Thursday, December 21 at Kerr Parzygnot Funeral Home, 540 Dixie Hwy, Chicago Heights. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Steger.
