Mrs. Adaline "Avaline" Hinkle Gregory

Funeral Services for Mrs. Adaline Hinkle Gregory, age 83 of Cullman, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Good Hope Baptist Church, with Dr. Ralph Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. She will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Gregory was born in Cullman on September 7, 1930 to the late Denson and Edith Irene Pruett Hinkle. She passed away at her home surrounded by family on Sunday, November 10, 2013. Adaline worked 30 years with Bellsouth/AT&T, she was a current member of Good Hope Baptist Church, and a former member of Mt. Pleasant Church , where she was active in several ministries, including teaching Bible School and Sunday School classes. Adaline was also one of eleven children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a step-son, Gary Don Gregory, four brothers, Ozell Hinkle, Odell Hinkle, Joel Hinkle and Maurice Hinkle; one sister, Ann Lovett; two brother-in-laws, Gary Hutchison and Bob DePlachett; and two sister-in-lasw, Flora Hinkle and Betty Hinkle.

Survivors include her Husband of 60 years – Theron Hollis Gregory; two 2 – Step-Grandsons – Jason (Bridget) Day and Harley Gannon Gregory; two Step-Great-Grandsons – Nicholas Day and Alex Day; three 3 – Sisters – Olene DePlachett, Kathleen (Bill) Hershberger and Nelda Hutchison; two 2 – Brothers – Franklin (Sandra) Hinkle and Alvin Hinkle; and a Host of Nieces & Nephews also survive.

The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
