Mrs. Anne C. Cartwright Davis

Funeral Services for Mrs. Anne C. Davis age 73 of Cullman will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cullman City Cemetery, with Rev. Mitchell Williams & Rev. Benny Cosper officiating.

Anne Cartwright Davis, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013, after a lengthy illness. Born February 8, 1940 in Cleveland, Tennessee to Mary Tinsley Cartwright and Fred Solomon Cartwright, she moved with her family to Anniston as a young girl. She graduated from Anniston High School in 1958, where she met William Donald Davis, whom she married July 2, 1960. Anne and Don raised two sons, Tim and Matt. The family moved to Montgomery, where they lived until 1984, when they moved to Cullman. She was a member of Cullman First United Methodist Church and the New Dimensions Sunday School class. Anne was known for always remembering birthdays and holidays with cards to all of her friends and family members, and for faithfully and regularly visiting church members in the nursing home.

Anne leaves behind her devoted husband of 53 years, William Donald Davis, sons Timothy Donald Davis (Lisa Singer) of Birmingham, Matthew Todd Davis (Janet) of Huntsville, sister Linda Spalla of Huntsville, sister-in-law and brother-in law Charlotte and Wesley Bittles of Saks, and grandchildren Emma, Mary, Will and Ben.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Cullman County.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Kinnie Bailey, Emmett Blocher, Tim McKelvy, Cooper Rhodes, Dale Smith and Scott Sarrels
