Atla Louis Drake

Our dear father, Atla L. Drake, went to be with his heavenly Father June 7, 2016 at the Hanceville Nursing Home. He was born July 8th. 1915 to Johnnie & Iowa Drake. He was a member of East Flint Baptist Church for 75 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 76 years, Mary Neal Lindsey Drake. 4 children: Harwood (JoAnn) Drake, Connie (Billy) Lee, Claude (Martha) Drake, Marlin (Susan) Drake,11 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.Brother: Cloyce Talmadge Drake, Sister: Imogene Lawrence and a host of nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie & Iowa Holmes Drake, 6 brothers: Boyd Drake, Martin Drake, Homer Drake, Verlon Drake H.H. “Squirrell” Drake & Winfield “Bully” Moon. 1 great grandson: Cade Brasher. 5 Sisters: Tressie Moon, Eies Smith, Thersa Wilhite, Mozelle Wilhite and Wilda Corley.

Funeral Services will be held June 9, 2016 at Moss Service Chapel at 2:00 PM with interment at Flint Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday June 9, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM
