Mrs. Betty Hancock Whitlock

Funeral services for Betty Whitlock, 82, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at Sardis Baptist Church, the Rev. Donny Yarbrough and Jason Hancock officiating, with interment in Sardis Cemetery. The body will lie in state from noon to 1 p.m. at the church.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Whitlock died Tuesday, Nov. 1, at UAB Medical Center. She was born Aug. 3, 1929, in Cullman to Jesse C. and Erma Brown Hancock. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Sardis Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents. And her husband, L.B. Whitlock

Survivors include a son, Mike (Shelia) Whitlock; a daughter, Karen (Stephen) Middlebrooks; twin sister, Bonnie (Charles) McAfee; two brothers, Roger (Susan) Hancock and Rick (Jeanie) Hancock; grandchildren, Trey and Lindsey Whitlock; stepgrandchildren, Kelly Williamson, Kris Graves, Jeff Middlebrooks; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Cole and Owen Graves and Eliza Middlebrooks.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Chris and Greg Hancock, James McCutcheon, John Hoene; granson, Trey Whitlock; and Charles Freeman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Graham and Ricky Deese.

Visitation was from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
