A native of Richmond, Virginia, Carol earned her Bachelor and Master's Degrees in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her teaching career spanned 29 years in Virginia and Alabama including Sacred Heart of Jesus Elementary School and Good Hope Elementary School among others.
A devout Catholic, Carol followed the path of Jesus in all that she did.
She has been reunited with her parents James and Helen Davenport, her sister Barbara Ellis and her youngest son, Richard.
She leaves behind her husband Lonnie Jr., her son Lonnie III (Danielle) and grandson James, as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in her family and the generations of students that she taught.
